Panama Surfing

Panama surfing is fast making waves in the worldwide surfing community, and whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer, you're likely to have a blast surfing Panama. Just be prepared for some pretty strong rip tides, and you'll be just fine. What helps to make Panama surfing so great is the relative lack of crowds. Also, there aren't many countries where you can conceivably surf in two oceans in one single day.
One of the top Panama surfing destinations is the Bocas del Toro archipelago. Found on Panama's northwest coast, this region is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Most surfers heading to Bocas del Toro base themselves on Colon Island.
Catalina is another popular place to surf in Panama. The aforementioned places to surf in Panama are just the tip of the iceberg. Other areas like Playa Venao, Malibu, Teta, Palmar y Río Mar and Isla Grande are also renowned.
